Bribe bid acquittal

A SENIOR A. S. Watson and Co security officer was yesterday cleared of trying to bribe a driver from Vitasoy.

Mr Jimmy Leung Sik-keung, 34, denied the allegation that between October 19 and 31 last year he offered the driver advantage of between $3,000 and $5,000 a month in return for details of Vitasoy's distilled water operations. South Kowloon Court magistrate Mr Ernest Lim said there were ''several material inconsistencies'' in the prosecution case.
