CHAMBER SEEKS NEW MEMBERS TO 'LEARN TRICKS OF THE TRADE'
SWEDEN'S Chamber of Commerce is encouraging more Hong Kong companies to join and 'learn the tricks of the trade' of doing business in Scandinavia.
'Our membership so far tends to be mostly Swedish companies, but it would be nice to see more local firms joining,' Stefan Olsson, chairman of the membership committee, said.
'There's definitely value in joining for any company doing business with Sweden.
'Networking is an important part of being in the chamber and among our members we have a vast wealth of experience in all sectors of business.' The chamber is especially earmarking local firms both importing Swedish products and exporting Hong Kong goods to Sweden.
'There are a lot more of these trading companies now operating, especially in the growing sectors of IT and interior design,' Mr Olsson said.
Despite the economic downturn, membership of the chamber has increased to 125 this year.
