The Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS) is to sell more than 6,100 sandwich-class flats to meet demand.
The first batch will be the 798-unit Bel Air Heights in Diamond Hill next month, and expected to sell at less than $3,200 per square foot.
Planning and development director Francis Law Hoo-yan said sandwich-class units in its sales programme included 2,300 flats in five projects on which buyers had defaulted.
They are at Marina Habitat in Ap Lei Chau; Park Belvedere in Ma On Shan; Cascades in Ho Man Tin; Highland Park in Kwai Chung; and Pinnacle in Tseung Kwan O.
Mr Law said these units would be ready for sale in three to four months.
Three developments in Kennedy Town, Ma On Shan and Tseung Kwan O - comprising 3,024 units - were due for completion in the second half of next year, he said.
