A number of Hong Kong socialites flew to London for the 'Diamonds Are Forever - Millennium Celebration' party co-hosted by De Beers and Versace. Prince Charles was the guest of honour at the event at Syon House, in aid of the Prince of Wales' Foundation for Architecture and the Urban Environment, the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund and Gilda's Club London.

Among the guests enjoying the free-flowing Krug champagne were actors Catherine Zeta-Jones, Pierce Brosnan and Stephen Dorff and pop stars Jon Bon Jovi - who performed live - and the Artist Formerly Known as Prince.

The highlight of the evening was the fashion show with Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss et al, sashaying down a glass catwalk in Versace couture and wearing millions of dollars worth of diamonds, including the HK$310 million 'millennium diamond'.
