I refer to the letter from Paul Ellis headlined, 'Game spoiled' (South China Morning Post, June 17).

As Mr Ellis pointed out in his letter, the game that we showed on Monday, June 14, between the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers, was a delayed broadcast, shown 60 hours after the game was played, thus we presumed that most NBA fans had already known the outcome before the telecast. Therefore, we promoted the upcoming final in the middle of the programme.
I am sorry for the frustration it caused Mr Ellis. We will bear Mr Ellis' comments in mind and will ensure this does not happen again.
