An HIV patient said hostility from Richland Gardens residents amounted to 'psychological torture' and has deterred him from visiting the clinic.
Stephen, a working professional in his late 30s, was diagnosed as HIV positive six years ago.
'I am very upset that the Richland Gardens residents can be so selfish, not just in relation to Aids patients but to the Vietnamese refugees.
'What right have they to be so picky about who goes to the area? They should put themselves in our shoes,' he said.
'I am outraged, depressed and humiliated. It is hell for us. It's psychological torture.' Stephen said he should have the right to walk on any street and the right to medical treatment without being harassed or discriminated against.
'I don't think any patients will go gallivanting in Richland Gardens after their treatment. Most of us just go home or back to our offices,' he said.
