I REFER to the letter from W. A. T. Crawley (South China Morning Post, May 3).
Obviously blinded by his religious obsession, he has refused to study and accept objectively that which is more than obvious.
Evolutionary science is the only reasonable explanation for the development of life on the planet earth.
A few questions: Who exactly has proven mathematically that enzymatic development is impossible? Could I please see the mathematics involved? Also, with reference to one of his more obtuse statements, how many atoms are there in the universe? Once Mr Crawley can answer the last question, then, and only then can he prove his theory. There is proof of the evolution of the species. It has, in fact, been ''demonstrated by the vigorous search for the fossils''.
I know not where Mr Crawley gets his information from, but he has, at best, got a second opinion.
Such concrete proof as exists for evolutionary science indeed does not exist for creationist theory.
