The body of a woman clerk was found trussed up in a vacant Central flat yesterday, two days after her family reported her missing.

Police made the discovery after arresting a suspect, 26, at 1am yesterday. He was 'acting suspiciously' in a Tonnochy Road, Wan Chai, sauna and the victim's credit card was found on him.

Police believe the victim, 36, was lured upstairs to the seventh-floor Wyndham Street flat.

She was found bound and gagged on the bathroom floor with a plastic bag over her head. A postmortem examination yesterday confirmed she had died from suffocation.

The woman's family said cash had been withdrawn from her account in the hours before her body was discovered.
