Jobs put study in jeopardy

I think teenagers should not be allowed to have part-time jobs.

Nowadays in Hong Kong many students have part-time jobs. Although it is undeniably the best way to earn some pocket money and lessen their parents' burden, it interferes with their studies. They simply have no time to do their homework, let alone study.

They may gain experience through part-time jobs but they will not be able to fully enjoy their school life, such as taking part in extra-curricular activities.

These part-time jobs also take away the teenagers' rest time, doing harm to their health and studies. Eventually they fall asleep during lessons, have no time to revise and do not understand what their teachers are teaching them. As a result, they perform badly in examinations.

Teenagers should make good use of their leisure time to cultivate a sound mind and build a healthy body instead of having part-time jobs. We can do everything as long as we have a healthy body.
