Twenty-two beaches were graded good for swimming in the latest check on the E.coli levels in sea water. Water quality can decline for several days after heavy rain, the Environmental Protection Department warned. Beach gradings and water quality information are also available from its web page at www.info.gov.hk/epd/ Good: Repulse Bay, Middle Bay, South Bay, Chung Hom Kok, Shek O, Stanley Main, Turtle Cove, Hairpin, Tung Wan (Cheung Chau), Kwun Yam Wan, Hung Shing Yeh, Lo So Shing, Cheung Sha Upper, Cheung Sha Lower, Tong Fuk, Discovery Bay, Clear Water Bay First, Clear Water Bay Second, Silverstrand, Kiu Tsui, Trio (Hebe Haven) and Hap Mun Bay. Fair: Deep Water Bay, St Stephen's, Big Wave Bay, Pui O, Butterfly, Old Cafeteria, New Cafeteria, Golden Beach and Hoi Mei Wan. Poor: Kadoorie, Casam, Lido, Tung Wan (Ma Wan) and Silvermine Bay. Closed: Anglers', Approach, Ting Kau, Castle Peak, Rocky Bay and Gemini.
