Many teenagers look for summer jobs during the long vacations to earn money and gain experience, making it a meaningful holiday.
I have some suggestions for all Young Post readers to make their long holidays meaningful and substantial.
Apart from those summer jobs found in newspapers, on the Internet or from the Labour Department, we can also take up some community work, such as teaching new immigrants English in community centres, visiting the homes for the elderly or looking after elderly people who live alone.
Nevertheless, we must be very careful when seeking jobs because there may be traps.
For example, read the contract, if any, carefully and keep a copy yourself.
Also, for safety reasons, we should avoid taking night-time jobs.
