Thousands of eager young readers queued up outside the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre waiting for the chance to buy their favourite books and comics at the Book Fair.
There was a tough struggle to get in, with everyone fighting to be first in line.
However, those queuing thought it was worthwhile because some items would not be sold anywhere else and others were in limited supply or priced attractively.
Visitor Eddie Chan Chun-man, 17, queued up for more than half an hour to get into the fair.
He said it was worth the wait as he wanted to buy limited edition comic books that were not usually available.
Lee Ka-ming, 13, said he enjoyed this year's fair more than the previous one because he felt it was not so crowded.
His friend, Jack Ho, 13, thought the same but added that the fair seemed better organised this year.
