Customs officers raided 26 illegal filling stations, arresting six men and seizing more than 37,000 litres of illicit diesel during a two-day territory-wide operation which ended last night. Five vehicles were impounded in the operation. Head of the newly formed Special Taskforce, Fong Fai-hung, said most of the illegal fuel stations were found in the New Territories at Kwai Chung, Tsing Yi, Tuen Mun and Yuen Long. Another two were found in To Kwa Wan and Chai Wan and one was in Quarry Bay. 'We believe we have made a heavy blow against the operators and our action will continue,' Mr Fong said. He said he was concerned with illegal fuel stations which posed a danger to the public.
