A children's doll set which has been on sale in Toys 'R' Us in Hong Kong has been recalled in the United States after it was deemed a choking hazard. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Tuesday the recall of 71,000 'Bathtub Baby' doll sets from stores across the country. It said a small ball, which comes with the sets, posed a serious choking hazard to children under three years of age. 'We and Toys 'R' Us are not aware of any injuries involving these doll sets,' the commission said. 'This recall is being conducted to prevent the possibility of injuries.' The set includes a blue plastic bathtub, a 14cm soft vinyl doll wearing a blue diaper and a pink ball about 3cm in diameter. It is believed the sets may have been withdrawn from sale in Hong Kong although no one was able to give an official comment at Toys 'R' Us last night. An assistant at one of its branches said: 'We are informed that there may be some problems so the new batch has been returned.'
