The week-long International Chinese Youth Leadership Academy is held each summer at Breakthrough Youth Village to provide training in leadership skills.
This year there were seven programmes including City Pursuit. Other programmes aimed to promote environmental awareness, family issues, the media and education.
Around 100 young Chinese people from Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Canada, Britain, the United States and Taiwan took part.
The participants learned how to work together and solve problems, developing friendships in the process. The City Pursuit activity was planned for the fourth day, when team members would know each other well enough to be able to take on their challenges effectively.
Helpers for each team had to do field research beforehand and take pictures of the assigned sites.
Chairman of this year's programme Leung Wing-tai said: 'Gone are the days of heroes. The future is in teamwork.' The programme was not only to train leaders, but also team members and helpers.
