THE Shenzhen A market took another tumble yesterday, continuing its recent slide. The Credit Lyonnais Shenzhen A Index fell 2.31 per cent to close the day at 2,695.24. The Shenzhen A index had dropped 3.45 per cent in Monday's trading. The Shenzhen B market appears to be holding steady, but turnover has remained sluggish. Hongkong brokers said investors were staying on the sidelines for the time being. The CLSA Shenzhen B Index managed a slight gain of 0.06 per cent to close at 1,109.62. The Shanghai A market had a minor recovery yesterday. Most shares were up in modest trading, and the CLSA Shanghai Index closed up 0.88 per cent to end the day at 7,761.77. There was a decent increase in turnover in the B market, but trading was mixed. The CLSA Shanghai B Index moved up marginally, by 0.81 per cent to close at 986.74.
