Cheng and Shiu split up after seven years

Rumour has it that there is a problem between long-time lovers Ekin Cheng and Maggie Shiu Mei-kei. After being together for seven years, Shiu has moved out of the apartment they shared.

Word has it that the problem emerged because of teen idol Gigi Leung Wing-kei.

Another rumour that has been circulating is that Golden Harvest will be signing up Leon Lai Ming. The company is allegedly trying to replace Aaron Kwok Fu-shing with Lai.

When Kwok signed up with Golden Harvest in 1996, the contract said he would make four films within two years. However, Kwok has only made two. Golden Harvest chairman Raymond Chow said the company would collaborate with any good artist.

Leon Lai Ming will be holding a series of concerts between November 20 and December 9.

The first television advertisement directed by Lai went on air recently. Lai said he had had many arguments with directors, but after making the advert, he realised that a director's job was not that easy.
