A jobless man posed as a police officer and coerced a student into having sex in exchange for not arresting her.
Man Tze-wai, now 19, told the victim, 18, she could be fined for kissing and hugging her boyfriend, 20, at a plaza podium in Sha Tin, the Court of First Instance was told.
The defendant then offered to give the girl a chance if she was willing to 'do what her boyfriend had done earlier on', prosecutor Christopher Coghlan said.
Man yesterday pleaded guilty to procuring unlawful sex by threats, a plea accepted by the prosecution. He denied a charge of rape, which was dropped.
Mr Coghlan said that on October 27 last year, Man - claiming to be a police officer - approached the two lovers at the podium of New Town Plaza.
He told the boyfriend to wait while he took the victim to a nearby health centre, where she offered to treat him to an expensive dinner or give him $2,000, Mr Coghlan told the court.
