SEOUL (September 2): HOPE that Hongkong's tightening up on the Communists will curtail trade between Communist North Korea and the Colony, was expressed to-day by a Government spokesman.

The Office of Public Information said it was reliably informed that rice, fertiliser and marine products were bartered at Hongkong for clothing, blankets and other materials for the North Korean Army. 'The exported items are badly needed by the North Korean people, many of whom are on the verge of starvation,' the government statement said.
