TOKYO (September 6): THE Japanese-owned English language newspaper, Nippon Times, to-day warned Japanese leaders and merchants to halt the wishful thinking of trading with Communist China and seeking markets there.

In an editorial, the Nippon Times admitted the traditional status of Japan's China trade but declared: However important China trade was in the past is China, under Communist domination, could not export or pay for imports, it would be sheer folly to dream of doing business with the Reds.

'Would it be wise to add to the war potentials of a nation which may one day present a serious menace to an unarmed and peaceful Japan? The designs of the Red forces under the impetus of Communist imperialism and Soviet backing have been clearly exposed by the recent American White Paper on China.'
