Canto-pop king Aaron Kwok Fu-shing fell into a love trap after meeting a woman and being secretly videoed caressing her in a hotel room in Australia last month.
At a press conference, he said he was attracted to the girl, whom he had only known for a week, and that she was a friend of one of the concert crew.
Chinese media companies had been approached by a gang offering to sell the video of them caressing, Kwok said. The gang, which wanted $300,000 for the videotape, had not contacted Kwok or his company.
Kwok said he regretted the incident, adding: 'It is painful being cheated and a victim of love. I hope the media will protect our privacy and not buy the video.' His company was looking into the matter and seeking help from the police.
Louis Koo Tin-lok will be a guest in Sammi Cheng Sau-man's October concert in Hong Kong. Previously, Cheng had denied rumours that Koo was her new boyfriend.
Her long-time friend Andy Hui Chi-on has promised to show up and support Cheng's concert even though he planned to promote his new album in Taiwan next month.
She was pleased with ticket sales for the concert and said only 200 tickets were left out of 19,000 after two days.
