Restaurants open

Many restaurants stayed open for business, but saw takings crash as cautious customers stayed at home.

'The number of customers has fallen by about 90 per cent. We have lost at least $20,000 this morning,' said Wong Fu-kwong, of London Restaurant in Mongkok.

Although the restaurant faced higher operating costs to stay open, Mr Wong said meal prices were not increased.
