The Credit Lyonnais (Asia) Shenzhen A Index closed up 88.64 points, 3.16 per cent, to end the day at 2,891.43.
The China Southern Glass announcement of its placement and rights issue plan yesterday proved to be a major boost to the overall Shenzhen market.
The CLSA Shenzhen B Index edged up 2.96 points, 0.27 per cent, to close at 1,103.24.
Chiwan accounted for more than 69 per cent of the Shenzhen B market's turnover.

The Shanghai A market managed to recover some of its lost ground suffered in the beginning of the week.
