Present system unfair

I strongly believe that the current system of marriage registration is very inefficient and should be changed.

A couple intending to marry, can only book, at the most, three months in advance. This means that it is necessary for members of the public who want to get married on an auspicious, or lucky day, to queue up, sometimes for several days and nights.

Surely, for those couples who have made long-term plans, it would be more sensible to allow them to book say one year in advance. The present system is biased against those who would like to register on a lucky day, but who do not have the time to queue.

I urge the relevant government department to review the marriage registration process.
