A woman, 89, who slipped in a polling booth at Wong Chuk Hang Catholic Primary School, Aberdeen, in last year's Legco elections launched an action for damages.

Lai Fong broke a bone in her thigh and cut her right arm in the fall. In a High Court writ against the Registration and Electoral Office, she claims unspecified damages as well as $10,000 for medical expenses, $5,000 for special food, $3,000 for crutches and special chairs, $500 for travel expenses and $19,550 for the services of a domestic helper.
