A CD-ROM specially designed for students has been produced by the Committee on the Pro motion of Civic Education to promote a better understand ing of the mainland in an inter esting way.
The committee has taken ad vantage of this popular interac tive medium to give the youn ger generation more informa tion about the mainland, a spokesman said.
'The introduction of this CD-ROM . . . also coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Peo ple's Republic of China.' The CD-ROM covers a wide range of topics about the main land, such as the origin of its national anthem and its geo graphy and topography.
Free copies of the CD-ROM are available from all District Offices and are being distribut ed to primary and secondary schools and youth organisa tions.
They can also be obtained at the National Flag/National An them Gallery at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre until Sunday.
