Directors resign at Oriental Press

Oriental Press Group, which publishes the Chinese-language Oriental Daily News and The Sun has reported the resignations of two members of the founding Ma family as directors.

The company said yesterday Ma Ching-fat had resigned as executive director and president. Chairman Lam Shun-choi had taken over as president, it said.

Ma Ching-choi stepped down as executive director and vice-chairman. The vice-chairmanship was taken up by Lam Shun-chuen.

The group did not give any reasons for the resignations.

The resignations followed a reshuffle of the company's board in June when Ma Ching-kwan, former chairman before Ma Ching-fat, stepped down as president and became a consultant to the company.
