Trainer Alex Wong Yu-on and Club Jockey Douglas Whyte could have another winner waiting in the wings in the shape of the unraced private purchase griffin, Scotia.

Wong and Whyte have teamed up for some significant winners of late such as Owners' Glory and, most recently, Beauty Fountain at Sha Tin on Wednesday night.

So when Whyte is booked for Wong, he is becoming worth more than a second glance which is why it was interesting to see him aboard Scotia at yesterday morning's Happy Valley trial session.

Scotia, is a son of College Chapel and out of a Caerleon mare.

He didn't show much last season, but is beginning to show a fair bit this time round.
