Banks offer sweeter flat deals

HSBC and Hang Seng Bank will offer preferential terms to borrowers who buy flats under the Government Home Ownership Scheme (GHOS). HSBC will give a cash rebate of $2,000 and a waiver for legal fees to those who borrow more than $300,000. Hang Seng will give electric rice-cooker and kitchen utensil sets to borrowers and allow them to participate in a lucky draw.
