DHL Worldwide Express has unveiled its multi-million-dollar Express Logistics Centre in Tsuen Wan. The company said the new centre was built to service the increasing need for logistics support arising from the exponential growth in e-commerce. 'The air-express market in Asia-Pacific will see buoyant growth of at least 18 per cent annually over the next five years,' DHL International (Hong Kong) general manager W.T. Lee said, citing a figure released by the Boeing World Air Cargo Forecast. 'I am confident that e-commerce will be a major driving force propelling this growth,' Mr Lee said. 'The success of any e-commerce set-up relies heavily on whether a company has the right logistics support in its network. This is where DHL comes into play,' he said.
