It is time once again for ghosts, ghouls and goblins to walk the streets of Hong Kong.
Don't be surprised if you see them early this year - because Halloween falls on Sunday, some places are throwing their parties tomorrow. This will give all those creatures a chance to get some rest before going back to work on Monday.
The partying started on Wednesday at Igor's in Western District - but then, at that place, it always seems to be Halloween. Unfortunately, the parties for tonight and Sunday evening are sold out, but tickets are still available for tomorrow night and Sunday brunch. Tomorrow's party is $666 plus 10 per cent.
On the menu are vulture wings, crab-stuffed eyeballs and marinated barbecued witch fingers. 'Victims' are encouraged to dress up (although you run the risk of being mistaken for part of the show); there will be stage shows, dancing, music by the Rolling Bones, and a competition for best dressed male and female.
The Kids' Halloween Brunch on Sunday is $250 plus 10 per cent for adults and $140 for children under 12. The young ones can enjoy games (cockroach hunt and bobbing for apples), as well as music, dancing and stage shows. Call 2108 4467.
Igor's Cafe in Stanley is also celebrating, with set meals tomorrow and on Sunday. The four-course dinner is $275 plus 10 per cent, $325 with unlimited soft drinks and $400 with unlimited standard drinks. Phone 2813 4467.
