He joined the Convention and Exhibition Centre as marketing and sales manager in September 1997. Ocean Park has appointed Randolph Guthrie as its new chief executive. Mr Guthrie most recently served as chief executive officer of Beaufort Hotels and concurrently as executive director of Clubs Division of Hong Kong Resort, both under HKR Interna- tional. Ocean Park has also appointed George Tso as engineering director. Mr Tso has 17 years experience in the engineering field, having worked for corporations such as Airport Authority Hong Kong and Mass Transit Railway Corp. SAP AG has appointed Les Hayman as president and chief executive of SAP Asia Pacific. Mr Hayman will head the combined operations of SAP's three sales regions covering Northeast Asia, Greater China and South Asia Pacific. Prior to his appointment, Mr Hayman was president and chief executive of SAP South Asia Pacific from 1997. He has spent more than 30 years in the information technology industry. Damco Maritime International of The Netherlands has appointed Da vid Macleod as managing director Damco Maritime (HK) and Damco Air (HK) based in Hong Kong. Mr Macleod will oversee Damco's forwarding interests in Hong Kong, the mainland and other Far Eastern countries. Prior to joining Damco, he held senior management positions at P & O Nedlloyd throughout Asia/Pacific. Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel and Towers has appointed Jacqueline Wong as public relations executive. Before joining Sheraton, Ms Wong worked as business development manager for the IT training division of Drake International for two years. World Courier has promoted Mark Bishop from Far East regional director to Asia Pacific director. Mr Bishop now has overall responsibility for the Far East and Pacific Rim region, except Japan. Michael Koo has been promoted from general manager to North Asia regional manager of World Courier Hong Kong. He will be responsible for Hong Kong, the mainland, Korea, Taiwan and the Philippines. The printer technology company, Lexmark International, has appointed Philip Carmichael to the newly-created Hong Kong-based position of vice-president and general manager for the Asia- Pacific region. Mr Carmichael is a former chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in China. David Powe has joined the financial recruitment division of Tully and Co as a director and senior consultant. Mr Powe will handle the recruitment of professional executives for the Asian capital markets, operating in both Hong Kong and Singapore.
