Police watchdogs are considering producing a series of TV docu-dramas based on real cases to promote channels for complaints against officers. But police said yesterday the idea had to be pursued with caution as the shows could project a negative image. The idea is being looked at by the Independent Police Complaints Council, the police and RTHK. In the first nine months of this year police received 2,330 complaints, seven per cent more than in the same period last year. There were 691 assault complaints, 8.6 per cent higher than last year.
