All that glitters is turning to gold for Hong Kong's young wushu stars. On another great day at the World Championships for the SAR, Chow Ting-yu captured the men's spear title.
It was Hong Kong's second gold after teenager To Yu-hong was crowned the men's changquan champion on Thursday.
Competing in an almost-empty Hong Kong Coliseum, the SAR dominated the top two places with Cheung Man-keung winning the silver.
Chow scored 9.43 points, 0.08 better than Cheung.
Defending nanquan and sword champion Ng Siu-ching, however, left her champagne on ice after finishing third in the women's sword. China's Chen Be took the gold on 9.53 points, with Macau's Li Fei winning the silver on 9.35, 0.07 better than Ng.
Another youngster, Tsang Sze-man, added a bronze in the women's nan-broad sword to boost Hong Kong's medal tally.
