POLICE arrested six men and one woman for illegal road racing after a high-speed chase in Sha Tin yesterday.

  Anti-road-racing unit officers from the New Territories traffic department spotted three cars during a patrol in the area shortly before 3 am, a police spokesman said.

  The officers chased the cars travelling westbound along Sai Sha Road near Wu Kai Sha. They were intercepted at the entrance to the Lion Rock Tunnel.

  The seven arrested, aged between 17 and 38, were taken to the Tin Sum police station and later released on bail of between $500 and $5,000.
