Two restaurant managers were bound over for scuffling with a pilot in a dispute over women at a Wan Chai bar, a court heard yesterday.

Antonio Gerbino, 30, and Raffaele Argentiero, 28, began arguing with Christopher Sproule, 25, a Cathay Pacific pilot, while dancing with some women in Joe Bananas at 5am on August 3.

As the dispute heated up, bar managers and security officers separated the three, who continued to quarrel outside the bar, Eastern Court heard.

Gerbino and Argentiero hit and kicked Mr Sproule. A former employee of the bar, Scott Maxwell, tried to stop the fight but was also struck.

Gerbino and Argentiero admitted the facts but pleaded not guilty to two charges of occasioning actual bodily harm. They agreed to be bound over by Magistrate Colin Mackintosh in the sum of $3,000 for 12 months.
