Those interested in learning wushu can join courses offered by the Hong Kong Wushu Union, the Provisional Urban and Regional councils and the Hong Kong Sports Development Board (SDB).

  The Wushu Union course is for youths aged six to 14. Participants are taught to develop discipline and improve their physical fitness. The course consists of 10 lessons and costs $170. For infor mation, call 2504-8226.

  The SDB also provides beginners' and intermediate wushu courses. Young people aged between six and 17 are eligible to join. Beginners are provided with basic training while the intermediate classes include combined attack and defence practice. The tuition fee for SDB members is $410, and $540 for non-members.
