Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) is to strengthen its broadband Internet service, SuperHome.net, by obtaining the latest information about second-hand property from four major agents.

 Centaline Property Agency, Midland Realty, Ricacorp Properties and Fortune Realty said they were negotiating with SHKP on a deal.

 Under the proposal, the four agents will provide lists of properties in the second-hand market to SuperHome.net.

 If the tie-up materialises, the Web site will also offer clients updated prices and a digital map.

 The agents said the service would start next month.

 Centaline's Internet services are 'open to all and free of charge', according to the company's managing director Shih Wing-ching.

 'We welcome such kinds of co-operation as long as it can enhance Centaline's reputation,' he said.

 Ivan Ho Shiu-cheong, Centaline's senior associate director, said SHKP was interested in the company's newly launched digital map, Centamap, which detailed commercial and public facilities in the SAR.

 He said the company already supplied property information such as second-hand transacted prices at housing estates to SmarTone Communications.

  This month, SHKP teamed up with United States technology giant Sun Mircosystems to launch SuperHome.net to offer information and e-commerce options to residents of the developers' flats.

 Ricacorp Properties managing director Barry Law Lam-wai said details were still to be worked out.
