Ethical standards are falling in the construction industry and are to blame for a series of scandals, said Director of Housing Tony Miller.

He said measures had been introduced to improve the quality of public buildings, including forcing contractors to employ trained workers.
'Despite the improvements, recent events indicate that it is not enough. The ethics of our industry are slipping,' Mr Miller said.
He was referring to a series of piling scams in newly built government-funded and subsidised housing projects that have come to light in recent months.
