Kerry diversifies into Net logistics

Kerry Properties has further expanded its business by launching logistics support services for Internet retailers.

In a separate move, the company also announced yesterday the purchase of a development site in Shenzhen for $180 million.

Kerry said it had started providing support services for Hong Kong Internet cosmetics retailer Looks.com through wholly owned subsidiary Kerry Logistics.

Looks.com is initially targeting customers in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea and Association of Southeast Asian Nation countries.

The service is intended eventually to cover the whole Asia-Pacific region.

Kerry Logistics had full e-commerce capabilities and was capable of offering the same support for other Internet retailers, the firm said.
