WHATEVER do people talk about on the cocktail circuit? That's a question frequently asked of Keeping Posted, so here's a taste of some of the chatty bits we've overheard in recent days on our gin 'n' grin rounds.
''He's such a lovely guy. In fact, his only character flaw is that he's a lawyer.'' ''I'm reading a great book at the moment. It's called Take Your Tongue Out Of My Mouth, I'm Kissing You Goodbye.'' ''I'll tell you, the two of them have a lot in common. For a start they both are.'' ''We're joining our New Territories neighbours in asking the local council for a reduction in our rates. Imagine, even hotel PRs are now moving into our area.'' ''We were planning to take the new Buckingham Palace tour while we were in London during the summer. But we won't be now because we hear she won't be there. She'll be in Balmoral instead.'' The identities of the people who uttered the above are safe with us - at least for the time being!
