SAR strikes gold in Montreal

Hong Kong representatives won one gold medal and four diplomas at the 35th World Skills Competition in Montreal, Canada. Chan Chun-wai became the first Hong Kong youth to strike gold in the competition, which is held once every two years. Chun-wai is an information technology (IT) graduate of the Institute of Vocational Education (IVE).

Chun-wai won in the IT PC and network support trade category.

Sharing the limelight were two IVE students and two IVE graduates who were each award ed a diploma for excellence in their trade contests. They were Yu Fai (graphic design), Yeung Ping-kit (jewellery), Lam Chun- wai (information technology) and Fung Chun-yau (wall and floor tilling).
