American Express is extending a generous hand to the Operation Santa Claus campaign for the fourth consecutive year. Instead of producing corporate Christmas cards, American Express is saving trees and donating money to charities. This year the company will again donate $100,000 to help blind children in the SAR and on the mainland. Staff members had suggested doing away with corporate Christmas cards and the company has agreed to match all donations by employees. 'American Express is pleased to join hands with Operation Santa Claus and contribute to the welfare of the visually impaired children in Hong Kong and the mainland,' vice-president and general manager of American Express, Hong Kong, John Steward said.
