WARRING factions glowered and shouted at each other on the pavements outside the Legco building yesterday.
On one side was a large group of Laguna City residents moaning about having ex-mental patients living near them. On the other side was a sympathetic group supporting the patients.
Standing in between were the poor unfortunate pawns at the heart of this battle. They looked lost and bewildered, their intellectual impairment evident in the way they vacillated between the two sides.
We are talking, of course, about the Legco members, scampering around, trying to be nice to everyone.
The Laguna City residents felt that they had been getting a bad press.
To counteract this, they decided to carry love hearts, to show the warm, deeply affectionate feelings they feel towards the property prices of their apartment complex.
