Agfa's ePhoto CL50 is a consumer-friendly digital camera and one of two cameras in this review offering a 1.3-million-pixel CCD.
It has a decent 3X optical and 2X digital zoom and comes with Agfa's exclusive PhotoGenie technology, which boosts its native resolution from 1,280x960 pixels to 1,600x1,200 pixels.
Users can take up to 10 consecutive shots at half-second intervals, and the Agfa is one of a few models that let users record up to 10 seconds of audio to annotate images.
Like the Epson and Sony models, the Agfa incorporates a SunCatcher panel which refracts light, making it easier to view the LCD screen under strong daylight conditions and helping to conserve battery life. It bundles an eight-megabyte SmartMedia card and uses a serial connection to upload images.
The camera also supports the Digital Print Order Form (DPOF) - an industry specification that lets users print directly to compatible DPOF printers without connecting to a computer.
Image quality was quite decent and sharp, but some images appeared a bit hazy, diluting overall colour density.
