Edmund Ho was presented with Macau's 10-billion-pataca land fund yesterday. Vice-Premier Qian Qichen handed him the certificate. Xinhua said the fund, managed by the mainland side of the Sino-Portuguese Land Group since 1988, had achieved an aggregate return of 40 per cent. Under the Joint Declaration signed in 1987, income from government land leases was shared between the Portuguese-Macau government and the future Macau SAR Government. The land fund is the Macau SAR Government's share.
