AIG in the clear over mainland insurance sales, says chairman

American International Group (AIG) chairman Maurice Greenberg has dismissed reports its mainland-based operation has been punished for unauthorised selling of group insurance policies. Mr Greenberg said one of the company's policies had been considered group insurance after a change of regulations. AIG had complied with the new rules and no penalty was imposed.
