The body of a watch repairer was found stuffed into a sealed, cement-filled barrel yesterday, 10 days after he was reported missing. Police made the grim discovery in a stream in Tai Kei Leng, Yuen Long, after they arrested three men and two women, aged between 18 and 23. The five are being held in connection with the murder of the 22-year-old man, Woo Ching-ho. The cement-filled blue plastic barrel's top had been sealed and screwed down. It weighed about 140kg. It was taken to Fu Shan mortuary where police forensic pathologists will preform a post-mortem examination today. Sau Mau Ping police received a report from a family member that Woo was missing on December 12. Two days later, his girlfriend discovered he had $73,000 in bank and credit card debts and made a second report to police. Kowloon East Regional Crime Unit launched an investigation and arrested two men and two women in Yau Ma Tei. Another man was arrested yesterday. After questioning the suspects, detectives searched Tai Kei Leng and recovered the barrel from a ditch under the Yuen Long Highway. A watch and an empty wallet belonging to Mr Woo were found at a nearby refuse collection point.
