Cold weather did not discourage fans from giving Kelly Chen Wai-lam a warm welcome. Taking part in a live show for Commercial Radio, Chen brought along her diary in which she had recorded all the interesting things which had happened since she became a singer.
Chen said the diary had witnessed her growth. Looking back, she felt she was now much more mature and had better communication skills.
Singer Anita Mui Yim-fong was sad at news of youth suicides. Mui said that she was naughty and had arguments with her family when she was young, but she never thought of suicide.
She said suicide was irresponsible and youths lacked goals and failed to find a way out when they encountered difficulties. She urged youth organisations to pay more attention to the psychological development of young people.
Chief Secretary Anson Chan Fong On-sang sang along with singers Miriam Yeung Chin- wah, Nicholas Tse Ting-fung, Priscilla Chan Wai-han and Wil liam So Wing-hong at the Red Cross Handicapped Children's School Christmas party. Students put on a play for the guests and the guests sang with the students.
Rumour has it that Ronald Cheng Chung-kei and Miriam Yeung Chin-wah have split. Yeung said she would talk to the press later but Cheng refused to comment.
