I refer to the letter from your correspondent J. Sheppard of Mid-Levels (South China Morning Post, November 25), regarding an ambulance case at Stanley Street in Central at about 6pm on November 11.

Our investigation revealed that the ambulance crew could have failed to remove the soiled treatment material at the scene of the incident after attending the patient.

They have been reminded, as far as is practicable, to comply with the standing instruction given to all members of the ambulance service not to have any residual medical material, such as dressings, packing for bandages etc, at the scene of an incident after they had finished handling the incident.
